Packaging of pharmaceutical products is vital in ensuring they are fit-for purpose when they reach their destination.

A range of issues can be investigated utilising XPS, SIMS and 3DP including:

• Packaging failures including delamination and disbondments
• Migration and Leaching of species from the packaging into the pharmaceutical
• Stains and contamination
• Printability issues such as non-sticking of ink.
