Validation

Contamination of any medical device causes product failure and in some cases can close production lines. Rapid identification is paramount in such cases.

A combination of techniques including XPS, SIMS, SEM and 3DP can be used to:

• Determine the chemical composition of a contaminant including stains, fibres and particulates.



• Fingerprint suspect materials.



• Validate the cleaning process and the production/manufacture process.
