CERAM Surface and Materials Analysis Gains Another Medical Device Customer Quality Accreditation

CERAM Surface and Materials Analysis (CSMA) has a long-standing reputation as the supplier of choice to the medical devices industry.

CSMA is accredited to ISO 17025 but, invariably, medical device manufacturers operate additional, and stringent, vendor assessment procedures when taking on a new supplier.

Recently, Stryker Orthopaedics Inc, an American owned medical device manufacturer, and one of the largest in the world, carried out a two-day audit of CSMA’s business systems with a view to appointing CSMA as a preferred supplier.  The auditor, the UK agent for SQA Services Inc., commented on the outstanding excellence and professionalism of the company’s staff and the company was rated in the top category based on an assessment of the company management systems, process and product control procedures and delivered quality performance.

Chris Pickles, CSMA’s General Manager commented: “This was a particularly searching and comprehensive audit from which we are delighted to have emerged with flying colours.  CSMA prides itself on operating to strict quality assurance standards and it is particularly rewarding to have that strategy recognised by this most demanding of client sectors.”
