CSMA Receives ISO17025:2005

UKAS Logo Following an assessment by UKAS, CSMA (The Centre for Surface and Materials Analysis) is now accredited to ISO 17025:2005. The firm is one of only a few labs in the world to have received such an accreditation for surface analysis.

The accreditation acknowledges that CSMA operates analytical services to externally accredited levels of quality control and accuracy, and is testament to the professional operation practiced by CSMA’s team of experts in delivering results to their clients.

Tony Kinsella, managing director at CSMA, comments: “When your business is based on studying the outer nanometres of materials in order to detect faults and develop solutions, being precise cannot be an objective – it must be a reality.

“With this in mind, CSMA has developed a system of checks, procedures and professional practices which ensure that our work is of the highest standard and accuracy, a fact now reflected externally by receiving ISO 17025:2005.”

The accreditation will be listed under the registration of CERAM, CSMA’s parent company. CSMA is now part of the overall CERAM “Test House” quality system. To view the accredited test list please visit the UKAS web site: http://www.ukas.com/
