Legally Bond

The first group of staff from CERAM and CSMA have now successfully completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness (CUBS) programme.

The CUBS programme is an assessed course that covers a broad range of legal issues relating to the provision of expert evidence. The programme is broken down into five one day modules: excellence in report writing skills, courtroom skills, cross examination skills and two law and procedure modules which cover issues including the expert witness's role within civil courts.

To date, five staff have completed the training programme and passed all five modules - Ian Campbell, Dr Len Hazel, Rob Mitchell, Dr Andrew Smith and Professor Geoff Edgell. More staff are still in training and it is expected that these remaining candidates will receive their results in September 2005.

The course is part of an ongoing commitment by CERAM to provide the best expert advice and support available in legal proceedings.

The CERAM and CSMA Expert Witness service is already well established and has provided lawyers, loss adjusters and insurers, with vital expertise in a range of cases.
Having now attended the Bond Solon programme, this service promises to be even better.

Bond Solon is the UK's leading legal training consultancy for non-lawyers and is the market leader in providing innovative, relevant and experiential courses that are designed to improve performance in the work place.
